Snapshots - A stop, on a motorcycle ride

Greetings from the Hermit Writer.

This is Larry, a Limpkin

Didn't get this Tricolor Heron's name.

Nudy cypress are cool.

A bit of color in the swamp.

Best shot I could get of this hawk, before he skedaddled.

This Spoonbill was shy two.

So I took two shots of him. Ha. Showed him.

I do enjoy winter cypress.

Oh. Oh. I caught a flutterby. I'm not usually patient enough to click 'em.

  1. Love them all. And flutterbyes are hard to capture.

  5. Fantastic butterfly picture at the end. And I'm really impressed with the birds in flight - if I try, I end up with a beak, or a blurry blob, or simply a shot of the sky!

  6. All very beautiful...I do enjoy these journeys with you. When I first saw the spoonbill I thought "flamingo". Was the colour of course.

  14. Lots of nice looking big birds. The best thing about some of these is that they like to live all over the country. It's always exciting to see them.

  15. I've never heard of a limpkin, that's a new one for me. I love the flutterby.
You've reminded me I saw three hawks on my most recent beach walk, a single then a pair, but all too fast for my camera. I was really surprised, haven't seen any hawks for quite some time and never before at the beach.
