Sunday Safari – Upper Hillsborough

Greetings from the Hermit-writer. Gorgeous morning, even though I didn't get out there as early as I wanted. Love that early sun. Makes for marvelous shots. I missed getting a picture of any of the 30-odd wild pigs I wandered upon, too. Dang. Third time I've missed catching them on 'film'. Hope you enjoy the pix.

First time across this creek...there were convenient steps to cross. (Wait for it...)

Right up against the swamp and cypress, a thousand year old oak. Beautiful.

I ended up taking my hikers off to cross it the second time. (That water was cold)

Have a great week!  (Consider sharing a link to Sunday Safari with your friends and family.)

I'm on the last edit pass of Book 1 of my Clad Dyfyd series. I put it in beta over a year ago…it wasn't ready for prime time. Trying it again. Anyone who would like to beta read…drop me a note.

  1. It's nice to see everything still green in November. Although we generally don't get too cold until January, it looks like we're in for a warmer than normal winter.

  2. Wow this was an amazing adventure and one delightful tree journey that I may not have guessed was in Florida! I could wander about those paths for days and love every minute of it! The last photo is exquisite!

  3. Sigh-- I want to walk there. Our trees are bare and naked for the impending winter. I miss green and lush. Loved the pictures as always. I need a visit down your way.

  4. Some nice photos. I particularly like the field of black-eyed Susan's, or whatever they are called, with the large pine and scrub brush in the background.

  5. Truly an excellent post to share! So I did!

  6. Possibly you should be on Pinterest???? These photos alone are worthy of being there!
