Greetings from the Hermit Writer.
Father and son for a stroll.
Reserve has really nice trails...several loops for the hiker and jogger
First time here...not sure which way to go.
While I decide, all take a shot of this guy.
And this guy
and this limpkin
I love trees, blue sky, and birds, so this shot is a triple whammy.
Don't you agree.
What a glorious place. I suspect that any trail would be the right one...
ReplyDeleteAnd they were ALL really nice. Six hours later, I was burned to a crisp, and still had to ride the hour back home :)
DeleteI hope to visit this place someday! I love all the birds and the trees.. And yes the blue skies are awesome. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely shots. Aren't you glad you took your camera with you during the stroll? :)

ReplyDeletebeautiful. love the moss-draped trees. :)
ReplyDeleteThe birds look so big for the tree branches, Mac. I do enjoy the trees, even without leaves.
ReplyDeleteBirds in the last photos look like cormarants they fish so you were near a river of lake
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed fresh water, so they were probably anahingas, but I've seen lots of cormorants away from the bay or gulf.
DeleteI do agree, and I'd be so hard pressed that I'd be sure to check out all three, beginning with the Heron Hideout! Another happy view through your lens.
ReplyDeleteWow!1what bird is that in the sump??amazing!Looks like a Heron but not..
ReplyDeletealso love the first shoot father and son with a cane hahahah
Happy afternoon Mac!
I'd say it's a green heron...but I'm no naturalist. I just like to enjoy all of them. :O)
