THE GLASS GARGOYLE - Marie Andreas

In my teens I used to read six of these high fantasy novels a week. About every penny of my lawn mowing money was invested in these. (I wish we had lived nearer to a library.)

If you love trolls, fairies, elves, and dwarves (my favorite) you’ll get a fun few hours out of Ms. Andreas’ novel. Priced pretty good, too, to get you into her series (three more to read, yeah).

The author has lovely characters, places them in gloomy taverns and spooky forests. What’s not to love.

So go read Marie’s lead-off novel on the cheap.

The Hike that Nearly Killed Me

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. I should have carried my GPS. Got turned around. Wandered around in that heat an unplanned extra 8 miles.

If you love sandy trails, you'll love the Arbuckle Track

It started out a wonderful day...up until my brain fried

Chance 2 to read my short: Competing with the Colonel
