Have a closer look at your first photo. Imagine the fluffy bits of cloud are frothy water and you have a man who has just burst through the surface of a lake.
Absolutely and after that horrible Duck boat accident, it sure puts in perspective how one should not ever expect to outrun or out smart any in coming storm.
