Afternoon Boomers

Greetings from the Hermit WRiter

Florida is known for it's summer afternoon thunderboomers. They can drop a couple inches in a few minutes. Not good to get caught in them. But they make great sunsets and skylines.

  1. We have had barely more than a couple of inches this year.
    I do love clouds though.

  2. Fun to watch the cumulus--so long as they dump elsewhere.

  3. I wondered what you meant by "boomers" Here in Australia, Boomers is the nickname for kangaroos, the really big ones, I'm not sure why.

  7. I took some photos of the sunset yesterday and after looking at them, I could see a lot of rain bans in the horizion. We get the pop ups every afternoon it seems but I love them.

  10. Big summer storms are wonderful - we get them here from time to time, but I suspect yours are more predictable. Nice sky shots.
