For Tree Huggers

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. I hiked Gator Creek Nature Preserve Nov 18 ... I loved it because I was in the woods. If you love trees...I invite you to my love fest for the next couple days.

The significance you ask? I left Tampa where there was a full, blue sky. Got north of Lakeland, and within ten minutes of hiking, this would be the last tidbit of blue I would see. (Pouty face)

Makes me want to look for dinosaurs. There's no getting off the trail here.

And the trail was very well marked.

There were a lot of downed trees along the trail/fire break. The open space makes those pines vulnerable to F3 winds.

...just because I think trees are inherently gorgeous.

  7. I had to back up to the beginning of your tour. I love trees-don't you know that if you listen hard enough, they will tell you their story?
