The significance you ask? I left Tampa where there was a full, blue sky. Got north of Lakeland, and within ten minutes of hiking, this would be the last tidbit of blue I would see. (Pouty face)
Makes me want to look for dinosaurs. There's no getting off the trail here.
And the trail was very well marked.
There were a lot of downed trees along the trail/fire break. The open space makes those pines vulnerable to F3 winds.
...just because I think trees are inherently gorgeous.
Of course trees are gorgeous. At each and every stage of their lives.
ReplyDeleteYes, trees are inherently gorgeous and I like your fabulous photos.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday.
Best, Synnöve
Hi Mac, trees are so important to our future and your trees here are simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteParticularly liked that second shot - it draws you on, and in, deep into an emerald-leafy world...
ReplyDelete...I pine for your pines.
ReplyDeleteHello, hubby and I are tree huggers. Wonderful trail and great photos. I love the pine cones too. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteTrees are awesome
ReplyDeleteI had to back up to the beginning of your tour. I love trees-don't you know that if you listen hard enough, they will tell you their story?
