What I'm Up 2

The Hermit Writer, here. The torn bicep is improving. Yeah. May still be a week or so before I'm out carrying a camera around. So what have I been up to? Working on Book 3 of my Shadows series, and playing with possible covers. I thought I had one...then decided it didn't have the gravitas I needed. So right now I'm looking at these two possibilities. One is my image. So probably can't be very objective.

What do you think? (L or R)

  1. Glad you're continuing to improve.

I like the second cover with a caveat.
I'd place your name at the bottom and make the title dominate the negative space at the top.

I'd probably change the direction of the stacked words, but that's something you can play with.

  2. I like the first. As a minor quibble I would say sequel to rather than sequel of.
Very glad to hear that your bicep is improving.

  3. I like them both - and think the coloring is awesome. Since I don't know the story, I don't have a preference. I suspect you'll choose well. Glad you're getting better!

  4. I like the one on the left with the moody sky and the girl standing in water.
EC is right, sequel to rather than sequel of.

  6. Hi Mac, gad you're healing. I like the first cover. Was that yours? You always take such good shots of the sun on the water, I thought it may be from a photo. Have a great weekend. Jo

  7. I guess it depends a little on the books content. I like the image on the L... a bit more mysterious!

  8. You hurt yourself?
The first image has a shadow - where does that shadow lead!

  9. I'd go with the LHS one - the RHS looks like something I have seen already.

Hope the arm is on the improve.

  11. I missed your post about your injury, so I've just scrolled back to find out what you did - OUCH! Glad you're on the mend. I imagine it was one of those instinctive movements that you regretted immediately?

I like the clouds in the first cover, but the second one overall. Did that help??
