  7. Boy I wish my nails were that strong!
    I never heard the word Pachyderm until I met my future mother-in-law. she loved doing the crossword in the daily paper and also loved confounding the grandchildren with words like pachyderm when all they knew was elephant. I thought she just made stuff up until I got a glimpse of an unfinished puzzle she was working on. Not wanting to appear as ignorant as I probably was, I followed her into the world of crossword puzzles and learned a lot of new words.
