I Dared the Heat for these Shots :)

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. (It was only 90 degrees...better than my last outing...97...with about matching humidity)

Ah. Better example of Florida's 'blue bonnet'

Not a poinsettia, but I loved the leaf's variegated color.

This egret was not happy about me stomping near.

 I love clouds.

Growing wild on the edge of the creek.

  4. I always wondered what Blue Bonnets looked like. I somehow imagined they'd be more like Granny's Bonnets (aquilegia), or Monk's Hood (aconite)

  9. Hi Mac, I've been bad. Have been spending way more of my blogging time on putting my own posts together than in looking a the neat blogs I'm supposed to be following. I've definitely missed a lot here on your blog. I always enjoy the pics you take on your walks and hikes. I wonder if you are taking a trip out West this summer?
