Florida Flora and Fauna

Greetings from the Hermit Writer.

My home state has blue bonnets. Florida has these babies.

I managed these shots despite the sweat running in my eyes.

The green smacks you in the face, huh.

Grrrrr.

  1. Beautiful.
You can keep the heat though, and I am happy to admire that critter from a distance.

  8. It is still very green there even in the heat. We've had so little rain that our lawn is mostly brown (except for the weeds which are still green!) and some trees are starting to change to fall colours because of the dryness. Great photo of the Croc! Watch out!!

We've got heat and humidity (and mosquitoes) all over here in D.C.
