A Lot of Trees with Outstanding Character

Greetings from the Hermit Writer.

Needed a resident buzzard.

I just like trees and clouds.

Aw, a group of pretties

Gnarly fellows having a hissy.

The famous log in the grass.

Only you can prevent forest fires.

Though the local rangers start a lot of them.

  1. I adore trees. And no, that isn't too strong a word.
We have fires here each summer. Too often deliberately lit. And they hurt my heart.

  2. There's heathland fairly near us where controlled burning is carried out, to maintain the plant balance. Looks terrible for a while, but it's amazing how quickly it greens up again.

Not the case with trees though. They take much longer and we do need our big old trees.

  3. Dear Famous Log you are cool! Still a worthy gift of nature! All cool highlights of a hike!

  4. I love the scenery, lots of nature.

  5. i am a tree hugger as well!! the last one, wow, really pretty!!!!

  6. Hello, pretty scenery and trees. I love the colors in the last shot. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!

  7. what a pretty place for a hike:))))

    Love those landscapes:))))

  8. They are doing prescribed burns in our area right now and it was so smokey all day today. I'm surprised they do it when it's so dry! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, Diane

  9. Fires are dreadful. The undergrowth has to be controlled otherwise a disaster in summer if a fire starts.

  10. You have a nice eye for the beauty of the stark branches against the sky, nature's own abstract designs.
