ReplyDeleteMy Dad read Thornton Burgess books to me and I liked them so much that I re-read them and also pretended that I couldn't read so he could put me to sleep with them. All my critters had names too-- Grandfather Frog, Unca' Billy Possum, Prickly Porky the Porcupine... those were the days!
