Snapshots - Ala Florida

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. You may have noticed the change in photo styles, from street photography to nature. Well it finally cooled down in December and this old man is able to do some hiking without ending up in the hospital. (We had a brutal summer...plus the deluges swamped the parks anyway.) So prepare for a series of Florida starting with the Withlacoochie River State Park. A really well kept secret. Y'all locals, need to visit this park. Great, leisurely hiking.

Important to note the high water mark...this past July most of this park was under water.

This is a water-locus. Those thorns are killers.

I snapped this limb stub because in the shadows it looked like a sheep's head. Post processing...I just loved the lichen color and texture of the oak.
