Favorite Passage

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. From my current project--2nd edition of Living in Shadow.

The man kept the smile glued on his face, until he caught sight of the Rottweiler heading toward him.

He reacted as everyone always did—freaked. The gentle beast has the face of a gargoyle and the stature of a lion, but the heart of a very curious, outgoing hamster. She would have to say hello to every soul in the small, private terminal before we could coax her anywhere.

  1. Love it. As I do big dogs. Most of them have hearts like soft butter.

  2. I once knew a rottweiler just like that. She would stand on your feet so you couldn't move until you'd said hello and scratched behind her ears.
