Snapshots - Circle Bar B Reserve - P2

Greetings from the Hermit Writer.

Mother heron on her nest.

Eagle didn't make this shot easy.

You can see (center of photo), he was a way away.

I am so used to being alone when I hike, the crowds were a little weird here.

Clearly the birds are acclimated to the people. This Limpkin just walked right out in front of me on the trail. Wasn't worried about me at all.

I got to really enjoy the texture of his feathers.

Such a beautiful fellow.

This girl was a little more leery of me.

  7. Texgal she sure knows her birds, critters .

Half the time I guess at my own. She comes in with the name. Many times I have to go back to my blog and correct my name. Happy I have her.

I like all your pictures Max. Good Morning. . Almost noon here in 15 minutes.

  8. It just cracks me up to see the big long-legged Herons way up in a tree on their stick nests. It doesn't seem right or even logical. Ah Mother Nature.
    That Limpkin is cool looking.
I tend to shy away from crowds.

  9. My greedy self isn't fond of crowds either. Love walking with you though, and those birds are very, very special. Love the cormorant drying its wings.

  12. I like the pictures of all the birds, especially the heron in the tree. The picture of the trail reminds me of a park I used to hike when I lived in Michigan.
