Greetings from the Hermit Writer.
All right, no more repeating, 'I love trees.'
It's rude to reach across the table.
The swamp.
Cormorant in silhouette
Water against the lowering sun
'What, Louise?'
George, still laying in the same spot, 4 hours later.
What is the moss or lichen on the trees called? Don't alligators eat people.
ReplyDeleteI guess the egrets do not have table manners! The gator scene looks the same as the day I was there. George must like that spot in the sun! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI'm still fascinated with George. :-) Want to see him in person ... ha ha.
ReplyDeleteDoubt he's much of a chess player.
DeleteAlligators are on my list of Do Not Meet in the wild.
ReplyDeleteI stopped on a bike path last year, taking pictures of the wild flowers...looked down and there was a 14' gator six feet from where I walked to the edge of the swamp. He wasn't worried much about me. Hung around while I took a dozen pictures of him. When others stopped and got their cameras going, he finally slipped into the water with a, "Pahsaw."
Deleteit's just paradise and you get to see it everyday!!! no mention of the croc ;)
ReplyDeleteThe long neck on the bird is so funny....don't you wonder how they swallow. George better get up or get stepped on!
ReplyDeletelove the reaching across the table. :)
ReplyDeletePhoto # 4 is so very proud, total picture of enjoyment, loving his life. As for George, on a day with time to spare, I'd be waiting to capture live video of surely a hilarious capture of some folks seeing George and not knowing....Gosh, I just hope nobody would hurt him. I've seen some crazy stuff people do out on walking trails!
ReplyDeleteAre they stepping along unaware there a big alligator if front????????
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots. I'm not sure the Missus would take to George; not sure I would, come to that.
ReplyDeleteWatch out! There's a gator in your path!
ReplyDeleteHij heeft volkomen gelijk.
ReplyDeleteTell me? Do you like trees? Just a bit...
ReplyDeleteLove the birds. Am awed at George.
I would prefer my black cat across the road than a crocodile. :)
ReplyDeleteThe last photo suspense! Like a scene from the movie
