Blog Aggregators...Your Opinion?

Google Reader has been gone a while.

I used Feedly for a bit...moved to Bloglovin. I'm tired of the response time and 'page not founds', the irritation of having to X out of Bloglovin for every blog I open...so moving on.

Are you happy with what you are using? Give me your recommendations, please.

  1. Mac, Bloglovin has now inserted all those spots that I don't follow, so that's aggravating, and having to say "read" to all those that still show up takes a bit of time as well. However, I haven't tried anything else, except to read them from my blog.

    1. Yeah...those are irritating too. I'm playing with Feedly. Have spent fifteen minutes changing the preferences, and I think I'm liking it.

  5. After a bit of a learning curve (I accidentally kept deleting blog posts) I use Feedly full time.

It's still not as user friendly as Google, but it's got more options than The Old Reader.

The biggest reason I don't use Bloglovin is because it truncates posts. I won't visit blogs if all it shows is part of the post.

    I miss Google.

  8. I haven't found the perfect answer yet. I tried Bloglovin, and still have a link on my site, but I don't like it. I am with Elephant's Child above because I still use my dashboard , and my blog list that I have on my site to try and keep up with posts. But nothing works well..I end up missing two or three posts on some sites, or I lose them completely and then all of sudden I remember a blog and go frantically looking for it! So after all that, I didn't help you a bit! Sorry!

  9. I'm not a fan of Bloglovin OR feedly… grrrr… I'm as frustrated as you are. I usually just click on links from twitter and Facebook now… or on blogging days I just pop in to blogs of people by memory--people I love and am interested in reading what they have to say. Or who always post gorgeous pictures. ;-)

    1. The biggest hangup I have with Feedly is the font size, and even though I’ve selected the option to mark as read on click, I’m still having to manually click read on the frame I’ve settled into using. I tried the other well recommended, and didn’t like it at all. I miss G Reader.

  11. Ok being dumb here but what is the advantage of using a reader? Why don't you just read the comments at the end of the post?

  12. Sorry but being almost completely internet and computer illiterate none of what you speak of rings a bell with me. I have a blog and I always reply to comments made thereon. I have a list of favourite bloggers (your blog included) and I click on to them to read and comment as and when I can.
I doubt my old mind would take in any more than that.
