Sunday Safari - Fred Howard Park, Tarpon Springs FL P1 (of 4)

Greetings from the Hermit Writer. Visit to a beautiful gulf park, on a gorgeous January day [ the 25th]. Hope you enjoy.

That is some calm Gulf water.

I love those feet

Yep, very quiet Gulf water

'Hey, Joe.' 'Hey, Marv.'

'I need to find a rock to sit on.'

'Qvack'

'When's Marge gonna get here?'

The causeway is a great place to get a jog in

Looking across the Gulf ...some keys about five miles away

'I wish the guy with the camera would go away.'

'I said, Go Away!'

Time to snooze

'Qvack, qvack.'

'Who are these guys with the funny beaks?'

'Just passin' through dude.'

'Oh bother. Another camera guy.'

'Zzzzzzzzzzzzz'

'I stubbed my toe. I stubbed my toe.'

Fishin' off the kayak

Funny to watch. This heron really wanted this guy's bait.

  5. Cool pics, as always. I'm surprised at that Heron ... they usually won't let me get that close ... especially if I'm moving around much.

  7. Okay, rub it in Mr. Hermit Writer Man (you must feel it in your toes as you walk through that warm soft sand) that some of us from the frozen tundra have had it- and so you rub these sensational moments of your blissful world! If I had to grade those captures- well you've blown the curve on grading out of the water- as for that sweet tweeter telling you to move on, gosh he reminds me of our Killdeer birds.

  10. I'm loving the shots of those birds, but my favourite is your last image, For me the composition is just right and red is fantastic for drawing the eye. It looks a great place, so peaceful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
