Snapshots - Near 'home' - El Paso, TX

Greetings from the Hermit-Writer. From my August trip. There isn't much I miss about West Texas. But there aren't any mountains in Tampa. So I soaked them up for the day I was in El Paso.

The Franklin Mountains. (Named for a local rancher from the 1800s, not the famous stateman)

  1. Didn't Cezanne paint the same group of mountains time and time again. I can understand why. These bring back great memories

  4. Lovely shots to share with us, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, I am very fond of the mountains too. I miss them, all the time, since my childhood seemed to bring to the great west at least once a year. Just another reason in a long list of reasons, that I miss my beloved grandpa. A most Happy, and Thankful, Thanksgiving Day to you and your lovely wife, and of course your girls. I hope you share some kind of Mac-photo-special-Floridian-Turkey-something too! :)

  8. We lived in Tucson for 14 years, but made the annual journey to coastal Georgia by car. Your photos are of areas with which I am sooo familiar! When we lived in Arizona, we missed the ocean, but now that we are in Georgia permanently, I miss the Catalinas, Rincons, Tortolitas! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
