RIP Bravo

I'm crushed.
Bravo just livened my blog last Friday. I learned just a few minutes ago that a speeder on our neighborhood street hit him. I hurt. Bravo was so sweet, lovable, full of life. He had just turned two. Such a wonderful friend to my neighbor. Prayers to Mike to adjust to an empty home.

Tears

  1. That's sad. I hate seeing animals hurt like that.

    1. This has put me in such a funk. Bravo was just the neatest pup. I'm glad I have my three girls around me to pet.

  2. Oh no, how awful. I've never understood why some people are always in such a rush to get to wherever they're going--and it's not like they actually get there all that much sooner anyways. I'm so sorry for your neighbour. It's hard to lose a cherished pet no matter how it happens, but things like this just seem worse because it didn't need to happen. :(

  4. Oh no! What a beautiful dog, too. That is so senseless. I almost got run over on my bike the other day. Why must people rush around like that? Hugs to your neighbor. So sorry.

  7. I am so very sorry. They wind their paws deep into our heart strings - and take a piece of them with us when they go.

  9. That poor baby! Why was he loose? Not that it matters because if that driver was doing the speed limit he might've seen him.

I'm so paranoid about letting my dogs near traffic. Even though I live on a fairly quiet road there's always a chance they'll be distracted and chase after a roadrunner or rabbit.

    1. He and Mike had just returned from the dog park. They were heading for the front door and Bravo darted over to visit with a friend.

My fear is loose cats. Gracie and Lucy are/were chasers. At 13 and 11 years old though now, they just glare at them...so I let them off leash when we walk where there is a side walk.
