20th Novel Loaded in Amazon and Barnes and Noble

Lord's Clarity was my first writing effort started in 1992. It took me six years to finish it, originally a saga over 220,000 words long (oh my poor critique partner). As a new writer I didn't know about structure, showing versus telling, hadn't a clue how to tie up the story so it rambled on and on.

I've endeavored many times over the years to edit the beast. Once I broke it into two novels, I started to make progress. A few years ago I broke the second novel into a third. More progress. Amazing how hard it is to turn 220kw of telling into a showing novel.

Lord's Clarity isn't crammed with action like my later novels, but the world I built is still my favorite.

Blurb:
Justen is single-born in a world of twins, one always male, one female, who share a telepathic connection. Ostracized among other royals for his bizarre birth, half a soul, a single consciousness, he battles to be accepted.
A force grips him, an anger that presses him to develop the clarity that comes natural to twins.
When the king disregards succession and names the seventeen-year-old the realm's heir apparent, Justen's survival depends upon mastering his emerging arcane powers and consolidating support, while facing threat of rebellion, assassination, and foreign encroachment.

The Clan Dyfyd series is set far in the future on a planet colonized a millennia ago by humans determined to live without technology. Wars, plagues, the feudalism and customs they follow, drive them ever-faster to an unsustainable population.

Covers Are Complete!! Clan Dyfyd Series

I'm wiggling around in my chair I'm so excited. The best artist in the world (that I know), has created wonderful images for my fantasy series Clan Dyfyd. They are still in edit, but all should be available by Christmas...for your gift giving needs...cough...cough.

If you like Steve's work, you can find him here, or on deviantart

Sunday Safari – Upper Hillsborough

Greetings from the Hermit-writer. Gorgeous morning, even though I didn't get out there as early as I wanted. Love that early sun. Makes for marvelous shots. I missed getting a picture of any of the 30-odd wild pigs I wandered upon, too. Dang. Third time I've missed catching them on 'film'. Hope you enjoy the pix.

First time across this creek...there were convenient steps to cross. (Wait for it...)

Right up against the swamp and cypress, a thousand year old oak. Beautiful.

I ended up taking my hikers off to cross it the second time. (That water was cold)

Have a great week!  (Consider sharing a link to Sunday Safari with your friends and family.)

I'm on the last edit pass of Book 1 of my Clad Dyfyd series. I put it in beta over a year ago…it wasn't ready for prime time. Trying it again. Anyone who would like to beta read…drop me a note.

To Kill A Warlock – HP Mallory

A recommend: To Kill A Warlock – Dulcie is cute. I love smartmouthed but cuddle-able protagonists. I read to escape, and Mallory let me do this with a smile on my face. Mallory's shining star is her array of quirky characters. While I usually prefer action above characters, I'm a sucker for just about any kind of character from the Netherworld. Give Mallory a look. She has another on Amazon that's currently free, so the experience won't hurt a penny: Fire Burn And Cauldron Bubble, A Paranormal Romance

Have a great weekend!

Sunday Safari - Clearwater Beach et al

Greetings from the Hermit-writer. If you've never made it to the beach before sunrise, you're in for a treat today. I started my peddle in Clearwater, crossed the causeway to Clearwater Beach, across to Sand Key Park, to Belleair Beach, to Largo, back to Clearwater. (Fell prone and died when I got home...oh my aching knees) Hope you enjoy the pix.

Have a great week!    (If you'd like to receive a link to Sunday Safari every week, drop me a note.)

Sunday Safari - Flatwoods Park

Greetings from the Hermit-writer. Great day to be outside in sunny Florida. Too bad I couldn't come home and watch the Bucs get beat…but they're playing Philadelphia…and I won't watch one of their games as long as Vick is in the NFL. (Boo, Vick…evil dog killer!)

Have a great week!
