Sunday Safari--The Claw Golf Course

Hiked The Claw…USF's golf course. I've spent many an evening after work trying to get eleven or twelve holes in before it turned too dark to find my ball. Hope you enjoy.

  1. This would be a great place to play. Unfortunately my golf course has a lot of water too - flood water covering several holes. I would spend all my time at you place photographing those beautiful sandhill cranes. I have pictures of some on the Oxford Hills golf course in Michigan.

  2. I love the cohabitation of manicured lawn, uniformed golfers and wildlife. So much to be read into that. Beautiful as always.

  3. You are a man of many talents and lots of energy- I know far too many folks who either drop into an easy chair or head to the neighborhood drinking hole- directly after work...and you hit the golf course! Good for you! What a peaceful and stunning course it is too. I'm beginning to rank as far as beauty and style- 1. golf courses 2. Cemeteries 3. Parks usually in that order! Like your Claw- a most gratifying walk! Of course I adored your birds too! Glad I stopped by before I get myself dressed as "Super-Pirate-Princess" for my 3 year old grandson's Happy come as a super-hero Birthday Party this afternoon! See ya later!

  7. Who could play golf in this piece of paradise? Bit like playing scrabble in the Court of Versailles : )

  11. Hello- just to ease your mind (slightly) Angus McTortoise- is a real live character within the Renaissance Festival- owned by a really nice lady. Angus actually has his own facebook account- so you could become friends with him- and follow his life. I missed him this year at the Mn. Renaissance- because the day I went it was too hot and she passed on going that weekend. :) He does seem to have a pretty full life- and lots of friends out there who come just to see him!
