Today's Favorite Passage

Ha! I can write description….

He wore an unadorned gown that trailed to the floor. Though simple, it was of the most beautiful, royal-blue silk Maria had ever seen, but the material jolted outward in angles off his skeleton of a physique. The wrinkled face was handsome, though a seeming-millennium had tugged hard, elongating his features. His eyes were bright and twinkled with humor Maria could sense from five meters away. In this darker room, the sun no longer exaggerated the king's hair. It was loosely bound, falling from his head like a waterfall's cascade caught frozen in a winter chill, the gentle wisps as soft as willow blooms, wafted as he moved.
