Today's Favorite Passage

She kicked off her deck shoes, stepped into the shower fully dressed, and turned on the sonic drier.
This was about as good as it was going to get. It would take out some wrinkles hopefully, soften any—odor. Her skin crawled as her clothes vibrated against her skin. Static electricity built up more quickly than she expected. The clicking of the discharges competed with the hum of the dryer, and her hair rose on its own as though Kory Mae lost gravity containment.
Back in front of the mirror she shook her head. There was very little she could do to that image. She dampened her hands and tried to smooth down her hair. She pushed a brush through it, only to make it wave in the air with static again.
"You're just a troll. Live with it. All you need is a big honking wart on your nose." She stuck her tongue out at the reflection.
