Today's Favorite Passage

I loved my mom to smithereens, but, well, I didn't have that magical mother-daughter relationship I read about in the magazines. Mother wielded a detail, controlling, emotional mind, constantly pulled tangents together, tying them to a focal point. Concrete sequential.

I revolved in a polar universe. Abstract random. I focused on a theme and felt infringed upon if reality interfered with my rambling path to enlightenment.
